Feedback
Bespoke feedback from our team of experienced judges on your script or pitch
What You'll Receive
Every submission receives a detailed page of written feedback tailored specifically to your project. We don't believe in generic notes or vague encouragement. Instead, we'll break down what we genuinely think is working, where we feel the project could be strengthened, and, most importantly, how you might go about improving it.

Our feedback typically covers areas such as story, structure, character, dialogue, pacing, visual storytelling, tone and originality. Where appropriate, we'll also suggest films, techniques or approaches that might help push the project further.

Our aim is always to help you make the strongest version of your film possible. That means we'll celebrate what's working, but we also won't shy away from pointing out areas that we believe need significant development. If we think something isn't landing, we'll tell you honestly - and explain why.

We simply ask that you come into the process with an open mind. Constructive criticism can sometimes be difficult to hear, but it's often the quickest route to growth. Our notes are never personal; they're offered with respect, care and a genuine desire to help your project succeed.

LASTLY
You're in safe hands.
Our team has read and discussed thousands of scripts and pitches through the Day Job Film Fund, our festivals and our own development work. That experience means we can offer thoughtful, practical feedback rooted in seeing a huge variety of projects at every stage of development.
